Lloyd Spiegel is a singer, songwriter and guitarist with a reputation for excellence in his music and performance. At just 25 years of age, Lloyd has 15 years experience in the music business and is regarded as one ofAustralia’s finest blues performers - his guitar work exceptional. He has played on bills with many of Australia’s biggest names - Billy Thorpe, Jimmy Barnes, The Waifs and John Butler. Since age 16, Lloyd has toured the U.S.A six times where he has become a highly sought after musician for Blues festivals and venues across the country and a favourite of the discerning American blues audiences. During these tours he appeared on bills with legendary Blues artists like Ray Charles, Buddy Guy, Canned Heat and Robert Cray. In the vein of Tom Waits, he has been compared to Louis Armstrong, Fats Waller, Tom Waits and Captain Beefheart. His piano styling draw on influences diverse as Thelonious Monk, Fats Waller, Professor Longhair. Pugsley’s show are exciting and enteraining delivered with a vaudevillian nuance and humour. These days you can see him solo and with a trio and occasionally with a big brass band. Pugsley writes his own material but also likes to interpret all sorts of classic material from old parlour songs, show tunes, work songs, blues, jazz, funk, cartoon music, film scores and more.He has performed Melbourne to Perth to Sydney (The Basement) to Europe! She has won 4 Best Female Blues Artist and Blues Artist of the Year Awards, is a regular ABC and RNZ radio performer, and has sold out concerts from the tip of Australia to the very South of New Zealand in main centres and tiny regional towns.
Jan has a way of fully engaging the audience in her shows, and her mastery of the boogie woogie, barrelhouse and honky tonk piano style, leaves listeners in raptures. She can present several shows and her Winifred Atwell show is proving to be extremely popular!
